We’re passionate about the NZ outdoors.

cycle-traNZ Ltd, owned by Brett and Adrienne Turner, is the product of their previous business venture founded in 2017 when they identified a couple of proven Australian products and chose to introduce them to New Zealand, complimenting their interest in the wider outdoors.

Prior to that, they had years of experience in the retail / service industry, and recognise the value of reputable products coupled with quality service.

Wind the clock forward until early 2025, the decision was made to morph the direction of the business specialising in cycle (both Bi-cycle and Tri-cycle) transport options.

The Gripsport ((Melbourne) core range of vehicle, trailer and caravan Bike racks retains a dominant offering. Complimenting this is now an offering of Trike and Disability vehicle racks also from Gripsport. Cycle-traNZ are developing New Zealand designed and fabricated cycle transport trailers with both platform and vertical rack options.

Although they do ride bikes, Brett and Adrienne (by their own admission) are not cyclists by way of the purist interpretation.

We are of the generation whereby as kids there were two ways of getting places, walk or bike…. the choice was easy!  In recent years we have seen a resurgence of cycling by all age groups.     E-Bikes now allow assist for those who want it, there is more group activities, families are taking advantage of the quality time together, there’s more designated riding facilities such as mountain biking, bmx, public and private trails, guided tours.

Also, there is a developing fraternity of those with physical limitations finding  a new, or renewed enthusiasm for cycling which provide challenges for transporting.  Not all cycle racks are equal. Through our extensive range of various racks, we can provide a simple, strong, safe, functional and durable transport solution for most situations. Unlike other imports from foreign origin, our racks and trailers are either Aussie or Kiwi made.”
